Nebraska Municipal Review

The Nebraska Municipal Review is the official publication of the League of Nebraska Municipalities. The Review is published monthly at our office.

Subscription rates are $5.00 for a single copy or $50.00 yearly (12 issues). Classified advertising is provided to members free of charge. Nonmembers may also advertise at a rate of $0.55 per word. The closing date is the last day of the month preceding publication. Ads are subject to editing and will appear one time unless otherwise negotiated.

The review features articles on laws and issues affecting local government, Government Officials, leadership, and training. The Review's circulation of 3,400 readers reaches a variety of local officials including Mayors, City Council Members, City Managers, Finance Directors, Planners, Attorneys, and others.

Nebraska Directory of Municipal Officials

Order Form

The Nebraska Directory of Municipal Officials is published annually. The Directory is an excellent source of information about each municipality. It contains the names, addresses, and phone numbers of elected and appointed officials from all across Nebraska. It also lists the tax rate, assessed valuation, population, class designation, and meeting schedule for each municipality. The Directory also includes contact information for all of Nebraska's State Senators as well as Congressional Representatives.

Utilities Section Newsletter

The Utilities Section Newsletter is published monthly and has a circulation of over 400 Utility Superintendents and utility personnel in Nebraska along with many Utility Section associate member firms. The Newsletter features articles on laws and issues affecting utilities and public works in Nebraska as well as leadership and training stories.

Utilities Advertising Contract

Gov. Ricketts announces road projects at League Annual Conference

Gov. Pete Ricketts and his distinguished guests came to the League's Annual Conference in Kearney as part of a statewide tour to unveil the Nebraska Department of Roads' new infrastructure priorities. Former Gov. Kay Orr, U.S. Sen. Deb Fisher and state Department of Roads Director Kyle Schneweis joined the Governor at the conference. All four spoke to League delegates in attendance.

Preconference Seminar: Labor Relations Update at League Annual Conference

Attorney's Jerry L. Pigsley and Kelly M. Ekeler with the law firm Woods & Aitken LLP, presented the latest updates on labor relations affecting municipalities to League delegates in attendance at the 2016 League Annual Conference on Wednesday September 21 in Kearney. Topics included New Overtime Rule, Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Americans With Disabilities, and Equal Employment Opportunities.

The League of Nebraska Municipalities is a nonprofit organization of cities and villages that was established in the late 1800s to represent municipalities in the Legislature. The League’s functions include sponsoring educational seminars, publishing a magazine and newsletters, representing its member cities and villages on state advisory boards and answering technical questions. The top priority is representing its members in the legislative process.
