    The City of Olathe is seeking a skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in water treatment processes, management, and leadership with a proven track record in managing complex operations. Experience in drinking water production operations and management, chlorine dioxide addition, and membrane filtration is highly desirable. The ability to manage budgets, develop and implement operational plans, and a commitment to proper safety protocols and procedures is key to the position.
    This position requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil engineering, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field. Licensure as a Professional Engineer with ability to gain a license in Kansas preferred. Candidates should have four to six years of water or wastewater experience, including two years of supervisory experience. Certification as a Kansas Water Operator, or the ability to obtain within 24 months of hire, is required. A Kansas driver’s license is also required. Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
