 eration with the Nebraska Rural Electric Association. This year's conferen
 ce features major manufacturers and local area electrical representatives.
 \nThe school will consist of concurrent sessions for two days. The present
 ations will highlight software technologies\, installation procedures\, sa
 fety practices\, billing and related smart metering capabilities. Both day
 s will feature meter manufacturers and regional company electric represent
 atives to provide a well-rounded educational school no matter what electri
 c meter or software package your municipality or rural public power distri
 ct uses.\nNote: In past years\, we had sessions on natural gas and water m
 eters but this year\, we will have a track session on generic electric top
 ics such as grounding\, test equipment\, LED lighting\, personal protectiv
 e equipment\, ARC flash prevention and much more.\n\nWho should attend\nTh
 e Nebraska Meter Conference is for all electric meter and line worker/tech
 nicians who are dedicated to the metering industry and electric industry w
 ho would like to further their knowledge to keep in stride with the rapidl
 y changing technology that is challenging both apprentice and expert techn
 icians.\n\nParticipants are encouraged to preregister by no later than Feb
 . 2\, 2018. Registration also will be available at the door on Feb. 6 betw
 een 8 and 9 am. The classes will be held from 9 am – 3 pm on Tuesday and 9
  am – 2 pm on Wednesday. Cost for Utilities Section members to attend this
  2-day course is $240 and $315 for non-members. This includes one breakfas
 t buffet\, two lunches\, and all learning materials.
